Well.. the last couple of weeks have been great, lots of ups, but one very major down.
Spent some time at
's for her birthday which was good fun, interesting pound game and hilarity with a bunch of 21+'s running about playing hide and seek.
Then went to my friend
's to stay for a few days, both Daz and his friend were there as well so we went for ice cream and general messing around, including a pumpkin fight.. did make a few nice pumpkins though :3 i did the wolf, and the UT one i did for Daz also... i also spent most of my time in a tiger onsie snuggling her kitten
After all that, we headed up into London for expo.
We went into london after sorting out wrist bands and hotels, and got myself a totorro phone case which i absolutely adore! (unfortunately, a few days later when me and Daz went out for a meal, i dropped it and smashed the screen >_>
i also got my picture taken with a guy in a huge totorro suit, and met a guy in the hotel in a Spyro onsie, so naturally was ecstatic to get a hug from Spyro XD
We also had a little bit of an issue coming back from the japanese restaraunt on the Friday night, when a drunkard spewing his drink up right next to us made us scarper on the DLR, which resulted in Daz's 3DS falling out of his pocket and we ended up loosing it >.>
I got major suit envy through expo, so i want to try start working on my own partial suit soon.
Me and Daz did decide to head back early from expo however, because of the storm we were worried about being stuck in London longer than need be...
I spent a few days at Daz's and just got back home on Thursday passed. We went for a meal at Pizza express, played some Wii U and chilled, also did our usual of prowling charity shops for games :3
We've also decided that proper dating means sitting back and watching back to back keanan and kel
Now onto the sad part...
I'd received a call from my mum during the week about Glen, our dog, he hadn't eaten in days and the vet had said he had a problem with his liver, so he prescribed some medicine.
On Friday, i went back to the vet with Glen and my mum to see how he was getting on, he hadn't made any improvement, infact over those last few days he had gotten worse, you could really see the jaundice in his eyes, ear flaps and gums. The vet reckoned he had a blockage in his liver/gaul bladder, and it seemed to be that bile was being produced but not going where it was meant to, resulting in it being absorbed back into his body which was basically poisoning him. We had to make the ultimate decision to get him put to sleep, and that was to happen this morning at 8:45.
He didn't make it through the night.
In a way, i'm glad he passed away here, with us around him, in his own home. I was distraught yesterday on the way back from the vet and knew i wouldn't be able to hold it together at the vets, watching the light disappear from those bright intelligent eyes of his.
It honestly feels like i've lost a massive part of myself, he's been in my life for 11 years. In fact, it was 11 years ago exactly today when we first got him.
He was such a smart dog, you didn't need to give him 'doggy' commands, he would understand you fine if you told him to open the door for one of the cats to get through. So many people who met him were touched by him, they loved him from the moment they met him and that even included people who didn't normally like dogs.
I'm really glad i was privellaged to have him in my life. He was a beautiful, smart, good dog.
Rest in peace Glen, you're my good boy <3
